Visit world heritage sites and other popular areas in Kyoto and Nara.
Explore Kinkaku-ji Temple and Nijo Castle, famous UNESCO World Heritage sites and Kinkaku-ji, a Zen temple whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf. Visit the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the Emperor's official residence in Kyoto, then drop by Nara Nagomikan before returning to Osaka.

Child policy:
Children under 6 years are free of charge, but no seats will be reserved.
Each paying adult may only bring one child who is eligible for free admission.
Good to know:
Dress code: conservative (women shoulders, knees and ankles covered; men: no shorts)
Nijo Castle is closed every Tuesdays in January, July, August and December. If closed, Ryoan-Ji Temple will be visited instead.
Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed every public holiday. If closed, Kitano Tenmangu Shrine will be visited instead (beautiful during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons).
